Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Kara and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy and empowering people to achieve their personal goals for 22 years. I have a Masters Degree of Social Work and have provided mental health support to people from children age 5 to adults of all ages focusing on a wide variety of topics such as; anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger management & stress related issues, coping with chronic pain/health issues, learning disabilities and relationship issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am an open minded therapist that believes in meeting a person where they are and working together to identify their concerns and empowering them to, with therapist assistance, resolve their concerns, I am an eclectic therapist that uses many types of treatment; however cognitive behavioral therapy is used most. I have worked with a diverse population of people in many different settings.

What you can expect from our first session

After each session with me, a client can expect to know they will be able to take away with them an understanding of their current feelings and obtain tools/plan to cope with their feelings/symptoms to use to once it is clear what the concern/feelings are to be addressed. The client can always expect a warm, yet empowering session in a safe environment. A concise short term goal or treatment technique will be implemented and taught for the client to implement/work on in between sessions.
