Great to meet you!

Welcome! As a licensed mental health counselor, I believe prioritizing your mental health is just as important as your physical health. It takes strength and vulnerability to take this step! I've been working in mental health for almost six years now, and have worked in numerous settings, and with people of all ages.

My approach to therapy

My treatment style is collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s goals. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing approaches to help clients achieve overall wellness, as well as develop healthy thought and behavior patterns. I believe a strong therapeutic alliance is essential to treatment, and value trust, respect, and shared decision making. I provide a safe and judgment free space to my clients. My work focuses on helping individuals form healthy coping skills, and foster a strong sense of self.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to feel as comfortable and supported as possible from the beginning. In our first session, my primary goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can begin to share your story at your own pace. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore what you're hoping to get out of it, and discuss any questions or concerns you may have about the process. I’ll ask some background questions to help me understand your experiences, strengths, and challenges more fully. This session is less about diving into solutions, and more about building a connection and laying the groundwork for a collaborative, trusting relationship. Whether you're feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or simply curious, you're welcome exactly as you are.
