Great to meet you!

Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist and have been practicing psychiatry since 2017. I work with adults from diverse backgrounds, including professionals, students, parents, women, men, and LGBTQ+ clients, who may be navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma/PTSD, insomnia, OCD, perinatal mental health, stress, or major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed. I offer psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, telehealth, and second opinions, with a focus on helping you feel heard, understood, and supported as we work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, thoughtful, and individualized. I believe in shared decision-making, which means we will work together to understand your concerns, explore treatment options, and choose a plan that feels right for you. When medication is part of care, I aim to be conservative and intentional, using the lowest effective dose while also considering therapy, lifestyle, sleep, stress, relationships, culture, faith, medical factors, and daily responsibilities. I draw from supportive therapy, CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing to help you feel heard, safe, respected, empowered, and better able to understand the patterns behind your symptoms.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to get to know you, understand what brings you in, and learn what you hope to improve. We will talk about your symptoms, history, current stressors, strengths, and any past treatment experiences so I can better understand the full picture. I strive to create a calm, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe sharing at your own pace. Together, we will begin identifying your goals and discuss a thoughtful treatment plan, which may include medication, therapy, lifestyle support, or a combination of approaches.
