Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing therapy and mental health services in a variety of settings, including private practice, correctional mental health, forensic settings, and community-based care. I earned my Master of Social Work from Baylor University and am also a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, relationship concerns, stress, and major life transitions. I also have experience working with veterans, individuals involved in the criminal justice system, and clients who may feel misunderstood or hesitant about therapy. My goal is to provide a space where you can be yourself, speak openly, and work through difficult experiences without feeling judged.

My approach to therapy

My approach is supportive, collaborative, and straightforward. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard and understood, while also being challenged to recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I’m not here to simply tell you what you want to hear; I want to help you develop insight, build healthier coping skills, and make meaningful changes in your life.

I use an individualized, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, incorporating evidence-based interventions based on each client’s needs. We may focus on managing anxiety or depression, processing trauma, improving emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, establishing boundaries, or navigating difficult transitions. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and we will work together to determine what healing and progress look like for you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin identifying what brought you to therapy and what you would like to change. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, background, relationships, strengths, stressors, and goals, but you will not be expected to share everything before you feel comfortable.

My goal is to create a relaxed, open, and nonjudgmental environment where you do not feel like you have to have everything figured out. Together, we’ll identify your priorities for therapy and begin developing realistic goals that fit your life. You can expect our sessions to be conversational, supportive, and focused on helping you gain greater clarity, confidence, and practical tools you can use outside of therapy.
