Great to meet you!

I have been in the mental health arena since 1995 and have worked with adults in community mental health, substance abuse treatment and private practice since 1999. I have Masters in Art Therapy and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have experience working in the LGBTQIA community, having developed a mental health program within an LGBTQ Center in 2018.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Through my work I have developed a person centered approach, with the recognition that trauma informed practice is a starting point or many people seeking treatment for mood disorders and substance abuse issues. For a lot of people seeking support, the recognition of how environmental/cultural circumstances have impacted them creates a framework in which empowerment can begin.

What you can expect from our first session

Hopefully an increased awareness of their own strengths and core values, an an increased sense of agency over their lives.
