Great to meet you!

I’m an LCSW in Florida, originally from the Midwest. I came to social work as a second career after personally experiencing how therapy can change lives. I’ve been working with all kinds of people coping with stress, hardships and setbacks. I love to help people increase their self awareness, self acceptance, and overall happiness.

My approach to therapy

I help clients recognize and use their strengths to work through challenging issues. We may explore old thoughts and beliefs, and uncover where they come from, in a safe and supportive environment. My approach is not about blaming but rather understanding. My core belief is that everyone deserves unconditional positive regard and respect. I encourage clients to start by try treating themselves as they do a friend -- compassion for self and others is the key.

What you can expect from me

I’ll share a little about myself, ask more about you, and we’ll talk about what you’d like to accomplish in therapy. I'll encourage you to ask questions, share concerns, and let me know if continuing feels like a good fit so far!
