Great to meet you!

You may appear to have everything together while privately feeling anxious, emotionally drained, unmotivated, or disconnected from yourself. Perhaps you are navigating a breakup, grief, relationship difficulties, work stress, a major life transition and no longer feel like yourself. You do not have to work through it alone.

I'm Karen Bazan, a Licensed Professional Counselor with five years of experience supporting others navigate anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I provide a warm, supportive and nonjudgmental environment where you can better understand your emotions, recognize unhelpful patterns, rebuild your confidence, and begin moving forward.

Therapy will be tailored to your needs and goals using practical evidence-based strategies. Together, we can help you regain motivation, respond to life's challenges in healthier ways, and reconnect with the person you want to be. If you are ready to take the first step, I invite you to schedule an appointment.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I strive to create a supportive space where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or uncertain about how to move forward, and my goal is to help you gain clarity and develop practical tools to manage these challenges.

I integrate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based interventions. Together, we work to identify unhelpful patterns, build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen resilience. Whether you are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions, I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs and help you move toward lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a supportive therapeutic relationship. We’ll talk about what’s been going on in your life, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the process. You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, and this is a space where you can share openly at your own pace.

My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and understood. Together, we will begin identifying your goals and developing a plan that supports your growth. By the end of the session, I hope you leave feeling supported, encouraged, and confident about taking the next steps toward improving your overall well-being.
