Hello there :)
I'm a queer Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling, and have been practicing for 9 years. In those 9 years and in my supervised work, I have gained experience in recovery from narcissistic abuse, LGBT+ concerns, anxiety, depression, disconnection from self and self related struggles, assertiveness, chronic conditions, trauma, grief and other similar types of issues. I personally have been in therapy for 10+ years, and a lot of these difficulties are personal ones I have dealt with as well. I have experience both personally and professionally with non-traditional relationships, including polyamory. Penny is my therapy dog, but we recently switched to telehealth only, so she is doing her best to share her love from the screen.
I use a lot of experiential based therapies, and the base building block we start from is emotional safety. With a lot of my clients coming from trauma backgrounds, that is the first priority, and then from there we create a plan together for what fits your needs and goals. I use therapies like IFS and Gestalt therapy, but I also pull from DBT, CBT, ACT, and expressive arts.
You can expect a lot of warmth, control, and safety. We will figure out together what you are looking for and how I can help you, and then we can go from there :)
