Great to meet you!

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or just feeling overwhelmed by life’s transitions, you deserve support that feels grounded, compassionate, and focused on what matters most to you.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and lifelong resident of Lee County, I’m here to walk with you through the hard parts of life and help you find clarity, strength, and direction. My work centers on adults and couples facing a wide range of challenges—including ADHD, bipolar disorder, substance use, personality disorders, and more.

My approach is straightforward but deeply empathetic. You won’t just be listened to—you’ll be supported in taking real steps forward. I believe therapy should be a space where things start to make sense, and where change feels possible.

I hold a BS in Psychology from UVA-Wise, an MEd in Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College, and a PhD in Psychology from Capella University. I’ve been a licensed professional counselor since 2019, with experience that’s rooted in both education and real-world work supporting people in some of their most difficult moments.

If you’re ready to feel more grounded, more supported, and more in control of your life, I’m here to help.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, goal-oriented, and grounded in empathy. I believe in meeting clients where they are while helping them move toward meaningful, lasting change.

I lean heavily on the Reality-Choice Therapy approach, which emphasizes personal responsibility, clarity in decision-making, and creating the life you want—rather than staying stuck in what’s not working. This philosophy guides much of the work I do, helping clients gain control over their choices and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

In sessions, I combine evidence-based practices—like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and trauma-informed care—with honest conversations and practical strategies. I work to create a space where you feel safe being yourself, even when things are messy.

Whether we’re addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, or relationship issues, we’ll focus on what’s most important to you, set clear goals, and move at a pace that feels right. Therapy with me isn’t just about understanding what’s wrong—it’s about discovering what’s possible.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. Each interaction is warm and accepting, encouraging the identification of strengths, abilities, and goals to improve self-acceptance and support healthy functioning.

We’ll work together to identify what’s holding you back and build on your strengths to create real, meaningful progress. Whether we’re tackling anxiety, managing mood swings, healing from trauma, or working through relationship struggles, each session is focused on helping you feel more in control, more hopeful, and more connected to yourself and others.

My goal is that you leave not just with insight—but with steps you can take toward healing and growth.
