Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Karen A Finn, LMHC, LCDP, QMHP. I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist who has training in individual therapy, couples counseling, anger management, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders.

My approach to therapy

I use techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy, anger management therapy, trauma intervention, and dialectical behavioral therapy, to name a few. I am a humanistic counselor inclined toward the teachings of Carl Rogers, the godfather of therapy, who believed that a counselor should treat all clients with unconditional positive regard and help each client discover that the answers to their problems are within them. I believe that a counselor’s job is to help them unpack these answers and also positively endorse and edify the client.

What you can expect from me

My focus is to provide my clients with a trusting therapeutic relationship in a safe, peaceful, and positive environment, so we can explore their life’s issues as we together work on the answers.
