Karen Kluchin-Song

Welcome! I am so glad you have taken this important step toward therapy through Headway. My name is Karen Kluchin-Song. I earned a Master of Social Work from Tulane University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Louisiana with more than 18 years of experience. I support clients with trauma, grief, women's issues, blended families, LGBTQIA concerns, stress, military and combat experiences, PTSD, relationships, anxiety, depression, anger, parenting, identity, sexuality, spirituality, and major life transitions.

My approach is eclectic and tailored to your needs. I draw from Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Strengths Based Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I value co-creating goals with you as I walk alongside you in your journey of self discovery. My goal is to offer a safe, supportive space to process what brings you to therapy.

In our first session, we will explore what you hope to gain from therapy. I will listen with care and without judgment as we discuss concerns such as intimacy, motivation, self esteem, confidence, family of origin, life purpose, dissociation, self love, workplace stress, addictions, guilt, shame, isolation, or other transitions. My experience includes military installations, schools, domestic violence and rape crisis programs, Children's Advocacy Centers, and private practice. Taking this step takes courage, and I am here to support you.
