Dr. Karen Meske

I am an experienced and dedicated Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a comprehensive clinical background and a passion for enhancing mental health care across diverse patient populations. I worked as a board-certified psychiatric RN for 15 years (at UCLA, Cedars Sinai, Huntington Hospital, for example) before becoming a PMHNP-BC. I have been practicing for 7 years. With a career spanning various roles, including outpatient psychiatric services and teaching, I bring a wealth of knowledge in psychopharmacology, patient assessments, diagnosing, and treatment planning.

My mission is to deliver exceptional mental health services to those in need.

As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), my approach to care is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. With 21 years of experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges—six of those years as a PMHNP—I have learned that effective care begins with authentic connection and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.

I approach mental health care holistically, integrating biological, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions into my assessment and treatment planning. My goal is to meet individuals where they are, honor their lived experiences, and empower them to take an active role in their journey to mental wellbeing.

Patients who work with me can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel seen, heard, and respected. Each session is a collaborative process that focuses not just on symptom management, but on cultivating insight, resilience, and long-term emotional well-being.
