Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Karen L. Morris, LCSW, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes healing begins the moment we feel truly seen. I delight in working with adults—from their 30s into retirement—who are navigating life’s transitions, untangling old pain, or seeking a more profound sense of connection and peace. I have been doing this work for quite a long time, more than 30 years, and I assure you, human beings are always a work in progress. I graduated a long time ago, but I continually educate myself on techniques and the newest ways to help my clients.

My approach to therapy

Together, we explore how depression, anxiety, or trauma show up in everyday life—within relationships, work, and your own self-understanding. My approach is both gentle and practical, drawing on our relationship and rapport to guide you toward healing. I blend Brainspotting, psychodynamic and interpersonal therapies, Adaptive Gestalt Therapy, and trauma-focused care, always tailored to your individual needs.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, I would like to know as much about the "whys, whens, and wherefores" of what brings you to therapy. I started school as a historian and love to get as good a history as possible —not just your "symptoms," but your life and your family. We will discuss your hopes for therapy, and together we will put a flexible plan in place that makes sense for you.
