Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Karen, a marriage and family therapist with a background in forensic addiction and experience working with both adults and children who have experienced trauma, depression, and anxiety. In 2021, I founded Olive Branch Family Therapy to inspire hope and wellness in the community, driven by my belief in listening, learning, teaching, and offering love freely.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in anger management, communication, boundaries, parenting, self-harm, recovery, and life skills, using a holistic, collaborative approach to help clients discover their needs and set healthy boundaries. As a holistic therapist, I take a comprehensive approach to healing, viewing each person as a whole—body, mind, and spirit—rather than focusing solely on symptoms. Treatment is personalized to address each individual's unique life experiences, challenges, and strengths.

What you can expect from me

I assist my patients in understanding the connection between emotions, thoughts, and physical health. I teach mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. If requested, spiritual aspects, including faith, purpose, and personal beliefs, can be incorporated into the therapeutic process. Patients will be cared for with empathy and compassion.
