Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Karen! I’m a Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience helping individuals and families. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, and women’s issues, and I’m passionate about helping people process past experiences and feel more grounded, hopeful, and present. Whether we meet virtually or in-person, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward at your own pace.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered and collaborative, meaning we work together as a team to support your goals and promote ownership in your healing journey. I believe each person brings their own strengths and wisdom to the process, and my role is to help guide and support you along the way. I draw from evidence-based techniques such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy to tailor treatment to your unique needs and experiences.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming space where we’ll get to know each other and begin exploring what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your goals, your strengths, and what you hope to gain from our work together. My goal is for you to leave that first meeting feeling heard, supported, and empowered—with a sense of hope that positive change is possible and that you don’t have to face challenges alone.
