Great to meet you!

Greetings! I'm Karen Roberts, a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience in working with individuals, families, and groups. I have worked with a wide range of mental health disorders, including complex trauma, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. I have found that therapy is the greatest gift you can give to yourself and to your loved ones. Choosing psychotherapy as a career path has been one of the best decisions I've made. It is an honor to serve others.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to begin the journey with where the client is at the initial start of therapy. The next step is to cultivate a collaborative and trusting relationship which is ongoing throughout the process of treatment. It is my intent to facilitate a connection that builds on drawing from client's strengths, experiences, desires for change and growth opportunities.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect each session to offer a clearer sense of a life compass, aiding in the direction they want to go. Clients will learn how to apply personal values to help with problem solving, decision making and attaining goals. Each session will build on the prior session providing opportunities for insight, exploration and self discovery. Although, sessions are somewhat structured there is room for creativity, laughter, reflection and celebration of milestones.
