Great to meet you!

I am a psychologist with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families in San Diego. My work spans anxiety, depression, couples counseling, and addiction and dual diagnosis treatment, where I have had the opportunity to work across every level of care, from prevention to inpatient rehabilitation, PHP, IOP, and outpatient. I believe strongly that there is no single path that works for everyone, and I take the time to understand each person's unique personality, history, and needs before we begin. My approach is nonjudgmental, supportive, and practical, grounded in the best available therapies and always tailored to you.

My approach to therapy

I see my role as helping people work through the sequential patterns that have led to their distress, and then building the practical skills and emotional connections that bring relief. In couples work, I focus on communication and trust as the foundation for restored connection. In addiction treatment, I work with clients alongside their families and close supports, because recovery rarely happens in isolation. Across all areas of my practice, I approach my clients with empathy and compassion and never give up on them.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for me to understand what has brought you to therapy and what you are hoping to work toward. I will listen carefully and make sure you feel at ease from the start. My goal is for our work to feel grounded in your specific situation and what matters most to you. I look forward to seeing if we are a good fit.
