Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Karen Zokas, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing individual therapy in Stamford, Connecticut. I work with teenagers, adults, and older adults navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, PTSD, relationship stress, and broader mental health and wellness needs. My goal is to offer a respectful, supportive space where you can feel heard and work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is individualized and collaborative. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychoanalytic Therapy to help clients better understand their experiences, develop practical coping skills, and make progress toward their goals. Together, we’ll identify the approaches and strategies that best fit your needs.

What you can expect from me

Your first session will be an opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, learn more about your concerns, and identify your goals. We’ll begin getting to know each other and explore how therapy can best support you. You can expect a professional, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you can share at a pace that feels comfortable.
