About Me

What should your client know about you?

My name is Kari Reed and I am a graduate from Capella University. I have spent the last 7 years working in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting and in the last 4 years I have also worked some of the time in an Intensive Outpatient Program.

What is your approach to therapy?

I provide a safe environment for clients to be able to process emotions and explore skills that can help you work towards treatment goals. I utilize different modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Through therapy, you can expect to experience an improved mood, self-awareness, improved coping skills and problem-solving skills. You should walk away from the sessions feeling heard, safe and supported.
