Great to meet you!

Hello, I know that this journey called life could, at times, get overwhelming and confusing. As your therapist, I will walk alongside you on the trip. I have many years of experience working with mental health issues, mothers with young children, and people facing severe health issues. I have a master's degree in social work from Texas State University and a clinical license to practice therapy. I work with trauma, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues.

My approach to therapy

I provide another perspective and a non-judgmental ear to listen to you. I also provide practical suggestions from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral and short-term solution-focused therapy. I have special training in habit-reversal (such as skin picking) and in eliminating safety behaviors and compulsions (those things you do to alleviate your anxiety but end up making it worse). I also know the Hispanic culture as I lived in South America for a year and learned Spanish.

What you can expect from me

I aim to set obtainable goals and help you with the steps to achieve those goals. This takes participation on your part! Often I give things to work on during the week between sessions.
