Great to meet you!

I am compassionate and driven by a strong personal connection to mental health struggles and a genuine desire to help others. By collaborating with clients in a non-judgmental and empathic manner, I create a safe space where clients are able to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, fostering self-acceptance and self-empowerment. I believe that everyone possesses the innate capacity for personal growth and the ability to tap into their own strengths and resources. This strengths-based approach allows individuals to focus on their inherent capabilities and resources, fostering a sense of agency and resilience.

My approach to therapy

I provide a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space. I use an eclectic counseling approach that incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities, I tailor therapy to your needs and goals. I work with adolescents through older adults and especially enjoy helping couples navigate conflict, rebuild communication, and strengthen connection and understanding.

Modalities I regularly utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Structural Family Systems, and Gottman Method strategies. I am a Gottman Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work leader.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve been handling things alone for a long time. You don’t have to have everything figured out before beginning, and you don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from support. Our first session will be focused on getting to know each other. It will be a "get to know you session" and will help us decide if we'd be a good fit to work together.
