Hi, I’m Karina Oquendo, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Lighthouse MindCare.

I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and women’s mental health, working with children (8+), adolescents, and adults. I offer both telehealth across Florida and in-person visits in Wesley Chapel.

I am bilingual and provide care in both English and Spanish, ensuring you feel comfortable expressing yourself in the language you prefer.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered in your mental health journey.

My approach is collaborative, personalized, and evidence-based. I take the time to truly listen and understand your concerns, lifestyle, and goals before developing a treatment plan.

I combine medication management with supportive, solution-focused care to help you achieve meaningful and lasting improvement. I believe in educating my patients so they feel confident and involved in their treatment decisions.

During your first session, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we discuss your symptoms, history, and goals.

You can expect a relaxed and supportive conversation, there is no pressure, just a space to share at your own pace. By the end of the session, we will work together to create a clear treatment plan, which may include medication options, lifestyle recommendations, and follow-up care.
