Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Karissa, a licensed professional counselor, certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist, and certified perinatal mental health therapist. I specialize in helping individuals navigate trauma, grief and loss, pregnancy and postpartum challenges, anxiety, and life transitions. My passion is creating a supportive space where clients feel seen, understood, and equipped to move from a life of survival to thriving. Because faith has been foundational in my own healing journey, I find joy in supporting clients who desire Christian integration as they explore hope and healing through their relationship with God. Whether you're facing a difficult season or carrying the weight of past experiences, you don't have to navigate it alone.

My approach to therapy

I take a compassionate, trauma-informed approach that recognizes the connection between the mind, body, and emotions. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate EMDR, somatic therapy, psychoeducation, and practical coping skills to support growth and resilience. I believe therapy should be collaborative and tailored to each individual. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian counseling and thoughtfully integrate faith into the therapeutic process for support and healing.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. I'll take time to learn about your story, current concerns, strengths, and goals for therapy. Together, we'll identify what feels most important to address and create a plan that fits your needs. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
