Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Karla! Seeking support is a courageous step, and I'm honored to be part of your journey. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist & a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, my approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in compassion. I offer a safe, judgment-free space where you can explore your story, build on your strengths, and move at a pace that feels right for you. I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, identity, and more, especially BIPOC clients, moms, and transitional-age youth. I draw from evidence-based, strength-based, and person-centered practices tailored to your unique needs. Together, we will work toward feeling more connected, confident, and grounded in your day-to-day life. What makes my work especially meaningful is that I bring my whole, human self into the therapeutic relationship. And outside of therapy, you’ll quickly learn that I love Disney, music, and traveling! Therapy is a space for healing and growth, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself, your goals, and your resilience.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and deeply collaborative. I believe therapy should be a place where you can be your full self with no pressure. I blend trauma-focused CBT, dialectical behavior therapy, person-centered, and strength-based techniques to tailor our work to your unique needs. We will build practical coping tools to improve relationships and manage anxiety.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my priority is creating a supportive space where you feel genuinely seen. We will explore what brought you in, discuss your goals, and begin building a strong foundation for our work. I also want to get to know you beyond your challenges. If you are ready to start your healing journey, reach out to schedule today!
