Great to meet you!

Working with Karla is a deeply collaborative and compassionate experience. Karla brings over 35years of integrative clinical expertise in both internal medicine and psychiatry, paired with a lifelong commitment to spiritual growth and cultural reverence. Clients often describe her presence as grounding, intuitive, and nonjudgmental.

Karla takes a whole-person approach—honoring your body, mind, heart, and spirit. Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, spiritual crisis, or transformation, she will meet you exactly where you are with insight, warmth, and clarity. Sessions may weave together evidence-based psychiatric care, somatic and mindfulness practices, nutritional support, and, when appropriate, psychedelic-assisted therapies.

As a certified provider in psychedelic medicine and a graduate of the Integrative Psychiatry Institute’s fellowship, Karla is trained to work at the leading edge of healing—while staying deeply rooted in respect for ancient indigenous traditions. She creates safe, sacred containers where clients can reconnect with their innate wisdom, move through trauma, and reclaim their sense of wholeness.

Most importantly, Karla sees you not as a diagnosis—but as a divine being having a human experience. If you are ready to step into deeper healing and self-remembering, she is here to walk with you.

My approach to therapy

My process is centered around building a sacred, trusting relationship where my clients feel truly seen, safe, and supported. I approach each session with presence, attunement, and reverence for the whole person—not just the symptoms they bring in. I hold space for both the practical and the profound.

We start by exploring your story—what you’re navigating physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I listen deeply, not only to your words but also to what may be unsaid. Together, we identify patterns, pain points, and the longings beneath them. I take into account your lived experiences, your neurobiology, your relationships, and the spiritual threads that weave through your life.

From there, we co-create a care plan that may include:

Psychiatric medication support (always with a thoughtful, root-cause lens)

Micronutrient and functional medicine guidance (supporting gut-brain health, inflammation, and hormonal balance)

Integrative tools like breathwork, somatic awareness, lifestyle rituals, and psychoeducation

Trauma-informed psychotherapy, sometimes blending EMDR, narrative work, or compassionate inquiry

Psychedelic-assisted therapy, when appropriate, with an emphasis on preparation, intention, and integration

Spiritual reflection, honoring ancestral wisdom, nature, and inner guidance.

Throughout the process, I work relationally—checking in with how you’re doing, what’s shifting, and what you’re ready to release or receive. I do not rush healing. I walk beside you with deep respect for your timing and your soul’s knowing.

Ultimately, my process is one of sacred accompaniment. My intention is to help you feel more aligned, more empowered, and more connected to who you truly are.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a deeply supportive and relational space where they feel seen, safe, and honored as their whole selves. My process begins by exploring your story—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually—while listening deeply to both what is said and unsaid.

Together, we identify patterns, pain points, and the deeper longings beneath them. We then co-create a care plan that may include psychiatric support, functional medicine, integrative tools, trauma-informed therapy, and, when appropriate, psychedelic-assisted healing.

Each session is an invitation to realign, release, and reconnect—with yourself and your inner wisdom. Above all, I offer sacred accompaniment, walking beside you with deep respect for your timing, truth, and transformation.
