Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Karla Schulte, a licensed professional clinical counselor with a background in mental health and substance use treatment. I earned my master's in counseling from Lindenwood University and have several years' experience supporting individuals through life transitions, anxiety, and trauma recovery. I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults, using a compassionate, client-centered approach to help people feel understood and empowered. Whether you're navigating a difficult season or seeking personal growth, I'm here to walk alongside you with care and expertise.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that each person already holds the answers they seek within themselves. I see my role as a guide—someone who creates a safe, supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences with honesty and curiosity. Through compassionate listening and thoughtful questions, I help clients reconnect with their inner wisdom, clarify their values, and discover the tools they need to move forward with confidence and purpose. I believe healing and growth happen when we feel seen, heard, and empowered to trust ourselves.

What you can expect from me

Clients will often leave sessions feeling more grounded, heard, and connected to themselves. They gain deeper insight into their thoughts and emotions, along with practical tools they can use in everyday life. My goal is for each session to offer clarity, a sense of relief, and a renewed confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges. Over time, clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and trust in their own inner guidance.
