Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Karla, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) providing compassionate, individualized psychiatric care to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood concerns, stress, and life transitions.

I especially enjoy working with college students and young adults navigating academic pressure, relationships, identity, career transitions, and the many changes that come with early adulthood. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being honest about what’s working—and what isn’t.

My approach to therapy

My approach to treatment is collaborative and patient-centered. I believe psychiatric care should feel like a partnership—not simply a prescription. I take time to understand what you’re experiencing, how your symptoms are affecting your everyday life, and what you hope to gain from treatment. Together, we’ll develop a plan that may include medication management, education, supportive therapy, and practical strategies to help you feel more like yourself.

What you can expect from me

Whether you're considering medication for the first time, looking for a new psychiatric provider, or hoping to improve an existing treatment plan, I look forward to helping you find an approach that feels right for you.
