Great to meet you!

Let's just face it, life can really suck at times! It's easy to wonder "What's the use?" People are more depressed and anxious than ever and looking for hope. I am in this business to offer empathy, hope, education and training to help you to reach your goals. I will use my insight, experience, and wisdom to help you overcome your struggles and to move towards living your best life.

My approach to therapy

I take a mindfulness and person-centered approach to therapy which means I will teach you how to be present and to show up for your life in the here and now instead of ruminating about the past or worrying about the future. I treat trauma through the practice of EMDR, an evidence-based, and efficient way to minimize the effects of trauma on daily life. No matter what you tell me, I will always be for you and will be your advocate in your quest to overcome life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to feel encouraged, challenged, and to come away with new perspectives on your issues. You will learn skills that will build up your confidence and change your thinking patterns. You will have knowledge of the body-brain connection and how to activate your "calm" nervous system. You will be given "homework" aimed at achieving your goals.
