Great to meet you!

Welcome! If you are interested in scheduling a session or finding out more about me, please visit: www.kaseybyrdcounseling.com.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and focus on providing individualized therapy services to adults. In addition to my experience as a therapist, I have an extensive background of working in various roles in school settings.

I am trained in EMDR therapy; I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, grief & loss, depression, and women's issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am, at the core, person-centered in my approach to therapy. I utilize cognitive-behavioral techniques, exposure-response prevention, solution-focused strategies, and other interventions to help clients achieve their goals. I am also trained in EMDR therapy and enjoy incorporating that into sessions when appropriate.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe that the client is the expert in his or her life, and I am lucky enough to get to join in on their journey for a while. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment for clients to be authentically themselves throughout the therapeutic process. It's truly amazing to see how skills and self-awareness that are developed through sessions are transferred to the client's personal life and being able to see the growth that happens.
