Great to meet you!

I’m a former teacher turned counselor with over 11 years of experience walking alongside individuals and couples through real-life struggles, healing, and change.

My own life experiences have shaped me into a more grounded, compassionate counselor. I grew up on a farm where I learned to be tough and push through, but I’ve also learned a different kind of strength—one that leans into pain, understands it, and moves through it in a healthier way.

I’m a laid-back, relational, and very people-focused counselor whose goal is simple: I want you to feel safe, seen, and comfortable showing up exactly as you are. At the heart of my work is helping people feel less stuck, less alone, and more hopeful about what’s next.

For the past six years, I’ve worked with Hope Restored Marriage Retreat with Focus on the Family, sitting with couples in intensive settings where real healing and change take place.

My approach to therapy

I don’t believe there’s just one way to heal or grow. My approach is flexible, collaborative, and centered around you.

I use a mix of practical tools, relational insight, and proven therapeutic strategies—including CBT, person-centered work, solution-focused techniques, mindfulness, and faith-based counseling when desired—to meet you where you are and help you move forward in a way that actually fits your life.

Every person’s story is different, so I take time to understand what matters most to you. Together, we’ll focus on what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to change so you can build clarity, strengthen relationships, and take healthy steps forward.

My goal is simple: for you to feel supported, understood, and equipped—not overwhelmed—as you grow.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is about connection, comfort, and understanding your story. We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you, with space to talk about what brought you in and what you hope to get out of counseling.

This is also a chance for you to ask questions about me, the process, and how we’ll work together. It’s a two-way conversation focused on building trust and helping you feel comfortable moving forward.

By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction and hopefully leave feeling supported, understood, and a little lighter.
