Great to meet you!

I've been licensed since 2020, and the heart of my work is helping clients bridge the gap between understanding themselves intellectually and actually feeling different in their day-to-day lives. Insight alone rarely changes anything on its own so that's the work we do together.

I'll also be upfront: I don't see myself as someone sitting on the other side of the room with it all figured out. I have hard weeks too. I'm constantly learning new ways to cope and find meaning in my own life, which means what I bring into session isn't theoretical... it's lived, tested and still evolving. (Also, my dream is to own a farm one day, if that tells you anything about me outside of work.)

My approach to therapy

My approach is eclectic, and intentionally so. I draw from CBT, IFS-informed work, psychodynamic theory, ACT, DBT-informed skills, emotion-focused therapy, and psychoeducation. I don't walk into session with a fixed script. I read the energy you bring into the room that day and meet you there, pulling from whatever framework actually fits the moment we're in. Some sessions call for structure and skill-building; others call for simply sitting in what's there. The "right" approach is whatever serves you in that hour, not whatever fits neatly into one box.

What you can expect from me

Take the pressure off. The first session is really just us casually chatting. I know opening up isn't easy for everyone, and I keep that in mind from the very first hello. Over the first couple of sessions, my job is to gauge what you actually need from me, not the other way around.

Your only job is to show up and be yourself. And if you're not totally sure who that is right now, well that's exactly what I'm here for :)
