Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Grief and Anger Management Specialist — and I've spent my career doing one thing I genuinely love: helping people recognize just how capable and amazing they already are.

I grew up in small-town Georgia and have called the Metro Atlanta area home since 2000. I love working with people of all ages, but my heart is especially with the young ones — children, tweens, and teens. If your kid is struggling and you're not sure where to turn, I'd love to help. I specialize in anger management, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, and building the kind of coping skills that actually stick. I also hold the following certifications: National Certified Counselor-2019, Certified Grief Specialist-2020, and a Certified Anger Management Specialist-2015 (CAMS-II).

In my spare time, I enjoy bowling, watching movies, and dancing.

My approach to therapy

How I work: I meet you exactly where you are — no pressure, no judgment. We'll work together at your pace, using practical tools and strategies tailored specifically to you. I believe you already have everything you need to grow — sometimes you just need someone to help you find it.

One of my favorite reminders, from Maya Angelou: "If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be." That's the energy I bring to every session.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you and creating a space where you feel comfortable and heard. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, any concerns or challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

You can expect a supportive, confidential environment where you can express yourself openly—at your own pace. I may ask questions to better understand your experiences, background, and goals, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.

We’ll also begin identifying initial goals and, when appropriate, introduce simple, practical strategies you can start using right away. By the end of the session, you should have a clearer sense of the process and feel reassured that you have a partner in your journey forward.
