Great to meet you!

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have specialized training in working with individuals, couples, and families. While most of my clients are teens and individual adults, many choose to incorporate family therapy into the treatment process to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and support lasting change.

I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD and am a Certified Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapist. I also have extensive experience working with severe mental health conditions, including psychosis-spectrum disorders, unusual thoughts and perceptions, and bipolar disorder.

My approach to therapy

Many clients would describe my therapy style as energetic, warm, and practical. It is important to me that we focus on the topics that matter most to you while also identifying ways to apply new skills outside of our sessions. Most clients spend one hour per week in therapy and the remaining hours living their daily lives. Because of this, I believe therapy is most effective when the skills and insights we discuss can be applied in real-world settings between sessions.

I am a Certified Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapist. ERP is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and social anxiety disorder.

I also have specialized training in treating treatment-resistant depression, bipolar disorder, and psychosis-spectrum conditions, including unusual thoughts and perceptions.

In addition, I have systemic family therapy training and enjoy working with families of all kinds. I hold a specialization in Medical Family Therapy and completed training in the Behavioral Medicine Program at Emory Family Medicine, with specialized knowledge of both acute and chronic medical conditions and their impact on individuals and families.

What you can expect from me

During our first session together, we will discuss the concerns and challenges that brought you to therapy. Together, we will identify the goals you would like to work toward and develop a plan that feels meaningful and achievable.

I will also explain my skills-based approach to therapy and what you can expect from our sessions. Typically, sessions include a review of the previous week and any skills or strategies practiced between sessions, setting an agenda for the current session, and a collaborative wrap-up where we identify practical skills, tools, or action steps to work on before we meet again.
