Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania with a passion for helping people feel understood, supported, and empowered through counseling. I studied psychology at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with my B.S. in 2018, and later earned my M.Phil.Ed. and M.S.Ed. in Professional Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education in 2021. I’ve been practicing for five years and deeply value the relationships I build with my clients.

When I’m not in the office, you can usually find me with a book in hand or outdoors exploring.

My approach to therapy

I have an eclectic approach, meaning I draw from various counseling theories (i.e. ACT, TF-CBT, DBT, Reality Therapy, and Narrative Therapy). I value creating a safe, nurturing, and nonjudgmental space for clients to share about themselves, while identifying the connections among their thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors. You are the expert of your own lived experiences, mind, and body. I just aim to provide a warm, welcoming, and patient environment where you can be your genuine self, explore, and develop a world view that truly fits your core values and beliefs.

I also am trained in Adoption Competency, and I specialize in adoption trauma. However, I work with pre-teens, teens, and adults without adoption as part of their history. I believe in the importance of continuous growth, so I like to tailor my work to fit each person's needs. My practice is always evolving.

What you can expect from me

I work with people who would like to learn more about the way their mind works, while also strengthening their interpersonal relationships and determining their own core values and belief system. Things like anxiety, depression, attentional issues, and life transitions can make this more challenging. I would like to offer ways to manage your mental health symptoms and help you to reframe unhelpful thoughts, so you are empowered to find meaning and purpose in your life.

Your first session focuses on getting to know you, your concerns, goals, and what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss what you hope to gain from the process and answer any questions you may have. It’s a collaborative, low-pressure conversation to help you feel comfortable.
