Great to meet you!

At times, life can feel like one big transition. Right when you overcome one challenge, another always seems to pops up. It can feel overwhelming to handle it all, whether you are a stay at home mom in the throughs of toddlerhood or a homeschool mom trying to navigate health challenges for your family members or a career driven mom trying to balance it all. The one thing I’ve learned over the years is that if you aren’t taking care of yourself physically (your health), spiritually (having a faith practice), and relationally (making time for in person connections), life can feel a whole lot more challenging than it should.

My approach to therapy

During my clinical social work training at Columbia University, I had the privilege of joining a small, immersive cohort dedicated to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Studying directly under prominent leaders in the field, I gained in-depth, practical experience in this highly regarded, evidence-based modality for supporting individuals with emotion regulation difficulties, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness/faith. Through my experience I published a workbook specifically for business owners, which includes actionable exercises, worksheets, and trackers to help them through the challenges of entrepreneurship. This is another specialty of mine, working closely with female leaders for a decade.

What you can expect from me

I enjoy being hands on. I believe the client is the expert in the room and I am simply a guide to offer suggestions to help you find your solutions. Decision making is one of my specialties. Once we can clear out the emotional clutter together, clarity comes next, followed by your answers.

As a Catholic Christian, I believe faith is a huge part of the healing journey and this can be included in your treatment if you desire.
