Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kate! I am a dedicated counselor specializing in trauma, women's issues, chronic health concerns, grief and loss, terminal illness, identity, and maternal mental health. I earned my Master’s in clinical rehabilitation counseling from Mercer University (2021) and my PhD in counselor education and supervision from the University of Georgia (2026). In my practice, I blend acceptance and commitment therapy, relational-cultural therapy, and narrative therapy to create a collaborative, compassionate space. Together, we will honor your unique story, navigate life's transitions, and foster a deeper sense of connection and belonging.

My approach to therapy

I believe that true healing happens in connection with others. In our sessions, you are always in the driver’s seat—I empower you to choose the interventions that feel right for you. Together, we will explore your cultural identity and how it shapes your relationship with yourself and the world around you. When you're ready, we can also bring in gentle, body-based interventions to help strengthen and honor the connection between your mind and body.

What you can expect from me

Sharing this therapeutic space with you is both an honor and a privilege. When we meet, you can expect a blend of warmth, energy, and gentle curiosity. Together, we will collaborate on how to best use our time to meet your emotional, relational, psychological, and spiritual goals. We will also cover the essential nuts and bolts of therapy, including how we protect your confidentiality.
