Great to meet you!

I’m Kate Flannery, a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience supporting women, couples, and families through anxiety, stress, trauma, and major life transitions. I specialize in helping clients navigate seasons such as pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, parenting challenges, relationship changes, and times when life feels overwhelming or uncertain.

I have been practicing since 2017 and provide virtual therapy for clients in Tennessee and California. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you feel understood while learning ways to manage anxiety, navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and feel more confident in yourself and your decisions.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique story, needs, and goals. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma recovery, and relational approaches to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and relationships impact their current lives.

For couples, I utilize Prepare/Enrich to help partners strengthen communication, better understand each other’s needs, and build a stronger foundation for their relationship. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can process your experiences, develop healthier patterns, and move toward greater connection and confidence.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We will discuss your current concerns, your history, your goals, and what you hope to gain from counseling.

I believe the best therapy happens when you feel safe, heard, and comfortable being yourself. We will work together to identify meaningful goals and create a plan that feels supportive and realistic for your life.
