Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with a background in community mental health and school-based mental health. I’ve had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating a wide range of challenges. My professional experience has shaped the way I practice today: with compassion, honesty, curiosity, and a genuine belief that all people are capable of change. I earned my Master of Social Work from Fordham University and I have continued to build my clinical knowledge and skills through training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma Informed Care, Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-esteem, life transitions, relationships, parenting, stress, trauma, and school-related stress or adolescents/parents.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is collaborative and individualized. I recognize that there is no single approach that works for everyone. I want therapy to be a place where you feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, and figuring out what you truly want - not what you think you’re supposed to want.

Clients often describe me as approachable, genuine, and easy to talk to. I take my work seriously, but I don’t believe therapy has to feel overly formal or clinical. I value the human experience and believe that sometimes a little levity, perspective, and a straightforward conversation can go a long way.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t need to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. Our first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you, understand what brought you to therapy, and learn what you hope to accomplish.

We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you’ve tried, what’s working, and where you’d like support. I’ll answer any questions you have and we’ll begin identifying goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you.

Most importantly, this is a conversation - not an interrogation. You won’t be judged or expected to share everything at once. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable while beginning to build a genuine, collaborative relationship.

Depending on your needs, we may even begin working on a practical strategy or skill during our first session. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about what we can accomplish together.
