Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kate.

I’m a clinical mental health therapist who provides a warm, validating, and down-to-earth space for people to explore their experiences and move toward meaningful change. I’ve spent the past six years supporting clients through trauma, anxiety, codependency, depression, substance abuse, and other challenges that affect daily life and relationships.

My approach is relatable and human, but grounded in evidence-based care. I believe therapy should feel supportive, honest, and practical — something that actually helps you understand yourself and gives you tools you can use outside of the session. I’m here to walk with you at your pace, help you untangle what’s weighing you down, and support you in becoming the version of yourself you want to grow into.

My approach to therapy

My approach blends compassion with practical skill-building. I use CBT, DBT, ACT, grounding techniques, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to help clients understand patterns, manage emotions, and create healthier ways of responding to stress.

Patients often describe me as relatable, straightforward, and easy to talk to. I offer honesty delivered with gentleness — the kind of feedback that supports growth without judgment.

I take a holistic view of each person, considering the mind, body, environment, relationships, and past experiences that shape the present. My goal is to help clients strengthen insight, build confidence, develop healthier boundaries, and feel more grounded and empowered in their daily lives.

While I don’t center my personal history in my work, I deeply believe in the effectiveness of these skills because they are tools I also practice in my own life. That lived commitment helps me guide others with authenticity, clarity, and genuine understanding.

What you can expect from me

The first session is much like a meet-and-greet. Our focus will be on you — your goals, what has worked (and hasn’t) in the past, how you prefer to receive support, and how you’ll know when you’ve reached your goals. I’m happy to share information about my approach or answer any questions to help you feel comfortable and informed.

My aim is to provide a supportive, understanding, compassionate, and hopeful environment. This is a space where you can be yourself without reservation, explore your goals without hesitation, and be open and honest without fear of judgment.

Therapy is hard work — being vulnerable and making lasting changes takes effort — but the benefits of that work can be felt for a lifetime. Together, we’ll take it one step at a time.
