Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Kate and I am a Marriage & Family Therapist. I have 9 years of experience working with individuals and couples experiencing a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, difficulty managing stress, grief and loss, and pre- and postpartum mental health concerns. I also have a particular passion working with first responders and their spouses in either individual or couples therapy as well as working with individuals who are going through infertility.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a client-centered approach first and foremost which means I collaboratively meet you where you are at and I honor the authority that you have over your life, your emotional experiences and your decisions. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps me guide you in exploring thought patterns and how these relate to how you are feeling and making choices in your daily life, often leading us to discovering at which points we may find ourselves stuck in maladaptive cycles.

What you can expect from me

Through working with me, clients often tell me that they feel more motivated, more empowered, and that they have increased insight into the inner workings of their thoughts and emotions. I encourage clients to set specific goals with me and it is my absolute honor to get to watch them reach those goals. To learn even more, please visit www.katevandyketherapy.com
