Great to meet you!

Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’re used to handling everything on your own. I want you to know that you don’t have to have the right words or know exactly what you need before you begin. As a therapist, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. I work with clients who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, stuck, or simply ready for something in their life to change. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, recognize what is within your control, and feel more confident moving forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Rather than focusing only on getting rid of difficult thoughts or feelings, we will work together to understand them and develop healthier ways of responding to them. I believe therapy should help you create a life that feels meaningful and aligned with your values—even when life is difficult. We will explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, identify what matters most to you, and build practical skills that you can use outside of the therapy room. You are the expert on your own life, and I am here to help you navigate it.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We will talk about what you have been experiencing, what you hope will be different, and what you would like support with. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history and current concerns, but you will never be expected to share everything at once. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable being yourself. Therapy is a process, and our first session is simply the beginning of figuring out together what you need and how I can help.
