Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! If you're feeling anxious or disconnected from yourself, I'd be happy to support you on your counseling journey. I work with adults and children in navigating family transitions like divorce or co-parenting, healing from emotionally complicated or absent parent relationships, managing relationship and dating patterns, identity development, and building healthier connections. I'm a dedicated master's-level therapist with expertise in EMDR, REBT, Solution-Focused, and Gestalt therapy. As a certified 200-hr RYT, I integrate yoga and meditation to enhance healing, balance, and well-being.

I’ve been trained extensively in EMDR. EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a therapeutic approach designed to help individuals process experiences. It works by engaging bilateral stimulation, such as side-to-side eye movements and tapping leading to reduced emotional impact and improved mental well-being.

My practice extends to navigating the complexities of childhood trauma, offering support for both emotional and physical well-being. Additionally, I provide a compassionate approach to help you overcome life's challenges. Let's work together to build resilience and create positive change in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution Focused, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Gestalt therapy. I tailor the work to the individual rather than believing that one approach fits everyone.

Depending on your goals, therapy may involve processing difficult or traumatic experiences, exploring the different parts of yourself and the patterns that influence your behavior, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, increasing awareness of your emotions and needs, or developing healthier ways of responding to stress and relationships.

I also integrate mindfulness and a mind-body perspective informed by my 200-hour yoga teacher training. This can include paying attention to how stress and emotions show up in the body and developing greater awareness of your internal experience.

I don’t see my role as telling you who you are or what you should do. I see therapy as a collaborative process where we can slow things down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and help you move toward greater self-awareness, flexibility, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what you hope will be different, and what you would like support with.

I’ll ask questions to better understand your history, current circumstances, relationships, strengths, and goals, but there is no expectation that you have everything figured out or that you share anything you’re not ready to discuss. We’ll work together to determine where it makes sense to begin.

You can also expect time to ask questions, get a feel for my approach, and decide whether we’re a good fit. Therapy is a collaborative relationship, and your comfort and sense of safety matter to me.

By the end of our first session, we’ll have a better understanding of what you’re looking for and begin developing a direction for our work together.
