Great to meet you!

Katy is a LMHC and has over 12 years of experience working with a wide range of mental health conditions. In addition to general treatment, Katy has experience working with the perinatal population to address mood and anxiety conditions in addition to emotional complications resulting from grief and loss, infertility, relationship issues, birth trauma, parent-child attachment issues, and attachment-based trauma that exacerbates during parenting.

My approach to therapy

Katy offers an eclectic approach in treatment, often using strategies and techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, mindfulness, and EMDR, when appropriate. Katy's approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed. Other modalities utilized are from positive psychology, ego-parts work, and Exposure-Response Prevention. Katy is invested in validating her client’s emotional experiences and offering a safe space for emotional exploration and development of new coping skills to flourish.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel empowered and hopeful as the therapeutic relationship develops. Together, we will work to address scary thoughts, regulate emotions, and build upon your strengths and build self-mastery from within.
