Great to meet you!

To be at home with yourself is something most of us were not taught and did not have the luxury of exploring. I believe the relationship with yourself defines so many other experiences you will have in your life...I believe that makes exploring your internal self and experiences valuable. I deeply value connection, authenticity and helping individuals connect to their core self! I have always been inclined to storytelling, others experiences, embracing connection, and understanding humans on a deeper level. Throughout my own journey of exploration I blended my love for anthropology, love for people and joy of the authenticity of others together and invested in a journey becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist.

My approach to therapy

I approach my work with a holistic lens that allows struggles, goals, and promptings to be expanded upon to help you align towards your core self and goals. I understand that often times in our efforts to decrease distress we find ourselves on a path to “fix” ourselves. I believe that identifying core struggles and exploring the core self puts you on a journey of acceptance and embracing the fullness of yourself that results to a richer life, lifestyle and relationships. My work with you will encompass an exploration of self, stressors, defining relationship with yourself and identifying and embracing healing for your journey. The mind, body and soul connection are deeply integrated into my approaches, as the connection embraces authenticity and wholeness. I value your insight and reflections into yourself; your voice and collaboration is not only welcomed but joyfully anticipated.

I utilize creative tools such as music, art, and writing integrated with modalities such as ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), Somatic Processing, DBT, (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Polyvagal Theory Therapy, Bowen Therapy, Narraitve Therapy and more to support with emotional connection and processing.

What you can expect from me

I like to think of first sessions as a “get to know you” session. I love to take time initially to understand a bit about you, such as your desires, things and people you enjoy and love in your life as well as hopes for therapy. First sessions are also dedicated to gathering a bit of historical information from you to help support our work together, this is where we will discuss matters bringing you into therapy. I understand first sessions can feel intimidating as there is often a worry of what to share. My hopes are the questions that I ask you prompts you to share reflections that feel important to you and allows us to build a foundation for focuses in our continued work together.
