Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I earned both my Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Columbia University. My clinical training includes experience in child, adolescent, and adult inpatient psychiatry, as well as school-based and private practice settings. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a registered nurse in a detox and rehab facility serving individuals with substance use disorders, many from underserved backgrounds, including low-income, formerly incarcerated, and unhoused populations. I currently practice in a federally qualified health center.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I work closely with clients to understand their unique experiences, goals, and values, and I prioritize creating a safe environment where they feel comfortable being open. I take a holistic view of mental health, considering biological, psychological, and social factors when developing treatment plans. My style is warm, empathetic, and practical, and I tailor care to each individual whether that includes medication management, psychotherapy, or coordination with other providers.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive and nonjudgmental environment in their first session. The initial visit is focused on getting to know you, including your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and what brings you to care at this time. I will ask about your mental health, medical background, lifestyle, and goals to gain a comprehensive understanding of your needs. We will also discuss any prior treatment experiences and what has or has not worked for you. Together, we will begin to identify your goals and outline a personalized treatment plan. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clear sense of next steps.
