Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Kateryna Kuzubova—known to many of my clients as Katya. I bring over a decade of clinical experience as a therapist, researcher, professor, and advocate for holistic wellness. My background spans addiction counseling, trauma-informed care, and therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Originally from Ukraine, I offer bilingual counseling in Ukrainian and Russian, and I deeply understand the unique cultural dynamics faced by post-Soviet and international communities. My work is grounded in the belief that each person’s story holds wisdom, resilience, and the potential for healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates the body, mind, and soul—drawing from neuroscience, person-centered, existential, cognitive behavioral and trauma-informed care. I use an integrative theoretical framework that respects the whole person: cognitively, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I believe that therapy is most powerful when it’s collaborative and tailored to each client’s identity, values, and lived experience. Two areas I focus on in helping clients move toward wholeness are: discovering one’s purpose in life and connecting with one’s unique identity through traits, values, and strengths. Whether I’m working with adolescents, adults, or families, I create a compassionate space for honest reflection and growth.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, you can expect to gain greater clarity about your internal world, learn how to manage emotional and relational challenges, and cultivate deeper self-acceptance. Therapy is not just about solving problems—it's about becoming more fully yourself. You’ll leave our sessions with practical tools for coping, an expanded sense of purpose, and the confidence to navigate life’s complexity with authenticity and resilience. My goal is to walk with you in a way that empowers lasting transformation.
