Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Katharine! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Webster University in Leiden, Netherlands. I’m a Connecticut native who has spent several years living and working abroad in Europe and Southeast Asia, experiences that have shaped my open-minded and human-centered approach to therapy. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you can feel comfortable being yourself as we explore life’s challenges together.

My approach to therapy

  • My approach is collaborative and flexible; focusing on meeting you where you are to facilitate new perspectives, confidence, and tools. I draw from Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), integrating these techniques to best fit your unique needs.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You'll have the space to share your story, where you've been, where you are now, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. Together, we'll explore your goals, discuss what you can expect from our work together, and create a plan that feels meaningful and manageable. My goal is to provide a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe, comfortable, and supported as you begin your therapeutic journey. From there, we'll continue working collaboratively to help you build the skills, insight, and confidence needed to create lasting change.
