Great to meet you!
Hello! I'm Katie, and I like to work collaboratively with the people I serve. I use a strength's- based, solution focused approach that is practical, personalized, and applicable to everyday life. Change is within your reach, and you deserve the opportunity to explore what that change looks like in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. My role is to guide, encourage and motivate you as we work together to identify what strategies are effective, what may not be serving you, and how to remain flexible as your needs evolve. Drawing from an eclectic therapeutic toolbox, we will tailor an approach that best supports your goals.
I am a graduate of the University of Missouri - Columbia (MIZZOU), where I earned both a Bachelor and Master's degree in Social work. Since obtaining my license in 2010, I have worked in a variety of settings, including residential programs, clinics, schools, in-home therapy and private practice. My professional background includes a strong focus on Positive Behavior Supports for individuals with developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, mood disorders, and trauma histories. I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan and hold a particular passion for working with children and adolescents, as well as those who are young at heart.
