Great to meet you!

As a Navy Veteran Psychologist, I am passionate, empathic, warm, and genuine. Trust is key - I focus on building strong relationships and am patient with the process. I use humor and enthusiasm to create a safe space.

Privacy and patient rights are paramount. Specializing in health psychology and BCIA Board certified in Biofeedback and Neurofeedback, I address the mind-body connection with precision. My goal is to empower my patients to navigate life's challenges with resilience and courage.

My approach to therapy

My approach starts with getting to know you (not just your problems). I understand stress physiology, neurodiversity, neurolinguistics, CBT, and family systems psychology. I intuitively consider options from 360 degrees, and am thoughtful about treatment planning. Over time, my treatment approach has become more trauma centered, and I attended training specifically for virtual provision of EMDR. I offer home-based neurofeedback, which is not covered by insurance, in addition to counseling.

What you can expect from me

I often give tasks and ides for you to ponder between sessions. Relaxation techniques are saved for the end of visits to promote a lasting sense of calm throughout the day. My aim is for clients to leave feeling better than when they arrived. If I've done my job well, you'll have something to reflect on and a better chance of a restful night's sleep. I work to pace sessions to minimize discomfort. Despite the challenges, I strive to make the process pleasant, manageable, and collaborative.
