Great to meet you!

I have been a counselor for nearly five years, with experience in both grief counseling and psychiatric hospital settings. I work with clients in person as well as through telehealth, offering flexibility and accessibility based on their needs. My approach is eclectic and tailored to each individual—I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Gestalt Therapy, Jungian concepts, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness practices to create a plan that best supports each client’s goals.

I want clients to know that therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and personalized. I aim to meet clients where they are, provide tools for growth and healing, and create a safe space where they feel understood and supported throughout their journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in a client-centered and trauma-informed framework that emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, and practical skill-building. I am a certified Youth Mental Health Specialist, a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and I am currently completing certification in Complex Trauma. These areas of training allow me to address a wide range of concerns with both adolescents and adults, including mental health challenges, substance use, and the impact of trauma.

I began my practice working primarily with adolescents, which gave me a strong foundation in supporting young people through developmental, relational, and behavioral challenges. Over time, my caseload has expanded to include a diverse mixture of both adolescents and adults. This experience has deepened my appreciation for the unique strengths and challenges present across different life stages and has reinforced my belief in tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs, goals, and circumstances.

In my work, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). These evidence-based approaches help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and focus on their strengths to create meaningful and sustainable change.

At the heart of my approach is the belief that therapy should feel safe, supportive, and practical. I strive to create a space where clients can openly explore their experiences without judgment while also gaining tools to navigate stress, build resilience, and foster personal growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive and welcoming environment where they feel at ease, as though they are talking with someone they have known for a long time. I work to balance a relaxed, conversational style with thoughtful guidance, keeping things light when appropriate while also creating space for deeper exploration when needed. Rather than following a rigid structure, I allow sessions to flow naturally, which often leads to more genuine and meaningful conversations. My goal is for clients to leave each session feeling heard, understood, and equipped with practical insights or strategies they can carry into their daily lives.
